The primary function of a warming plate is to heat food, keep it warm, and maintain the temperature and texture of the dishes. On the other hand, a cutting board is primarily used for chopping various types of ingredients, such as vegetables and meat, to prevent damage to the tabletop.
The ability of the warming plate to heat and keep food warm is attributed to the built-in NTC temperature sensor. The NTC temperature sensor consists of an NTC thermistor and a probe.
The NTC thermistor is a type of thermistor with a negative temperature coefficient, made of semiconductor materials. Its resistance rapidly decreases with increasing temperature. It offers advantages such as high sensitivity, quick response, small size, and light weight. NTC thermistors are widely used for temperature sensing, measurement, and control in various fields such as medical, automotive, aerospace, and home appliances.
In the warming plate, the NTC thermistor serves as a temperature sensor to detect the temperature of the dishes. The programmed temperature and time settings are used to heat and keep the dishes warm.
When the dish temperature is below the set value, the control circuit activates the heating element for warming. Conversely, when the dish temperature reaches or exceeds the set value, the control circuit deactivates the heating element, stopping the heating process. This ensures that the dishes maintain their temperature and texture while preventing overheating, burning, or accidents.
